Metal to the Masses Brighton Heat 1

After the inevitable gap, festivals and gigs have started up again. One of the UK’s most prestigious metal festivals, the best of the larger outdoor ones, Bloodstock has a stage where new bands get a chance to play. In order to win a place there the bands have to go through a live selection around the country. Jackhammer Promotions organises the Brighton competition and their first heat back was last Sunday at the Green Door Store. Two bands played as one had to postpone.

First up were Dead Letter, who won the heat. They played a great set mixing doomier heavy metal with late 60s, Doors like, elements.

The other band, were All Hail Dog, who also played an excellent set, giving the heat judges from Enquire Within a difficult decision to make.
