Despite having concussion I had to attend this event in Brighton. Two of my favourite Black Metal string musicians were involved: one as promoter, the other as part of the headline act. It was an interesting night with three dungeon synth musicians providing excellent support to a rather off the wall violin and cello duo.
First up was Landsraad mixing electronic music with samples from Dune.
Next on was chain mail cowled Hermit Knight with more dungeon synth.
Third act, the bare chested barbarian, Elyvion, playing three keyboards and occasionally banging a drum.
The final act, Flickers from the Fen played a high energy folk based set, with electric cello and violin and keys on backing.
