Morris in St Leonards-on-Sea

It was the day after St Georges Day when the Rheda’s Dream and Ruxley’s Crew Morris sides joined with Raven Drummers to provide some entertainment outside of the Old England pub in St Leonards. Each took a turn in showing off their skills to the crowd that had been drawn to watch them.

First though, we had a rendition of the St Crispin’s Day speech from Shakespeare’s Henry V.

Rheda’s dream started the dancing off.

They were followed by Ruxley’s Crew.

Raven Drummers played, giving the dancers time to rest and sup drinks.

The two Morris sides joined forces for a couple of dances.

The musicians provided the tunes and rhythms.
