To celebrate their first ten years of existence, Black Swan Border Morris held a Day of Dance in their home town of Carshalton. They invited several other sides to help them enjoy the day and give the local townspeople a brightly coloured spectacle.
Also there was Hannah, one of the Hastings Jack in the Green Giants. Hannah posed with the sides for group photos.
The sides congregated at Sassis in the Grove and those that were there did an initial dance. Pennyroyal Clog were dancing somewhere else later on so they left after this. After a mass dance the dancers left to process around the High Street and the park, culminating in another mass dance.

East Surrey – local Cotswold side
G & G – traditional English Morris dancers from Kent, both are German and both are musicians too
London Pride – whose numbers rose from one to two to five (including two junior members) during the afternoon
Pennyroyal – who need no introduction on here
Royal Liberty – why worry about broken sticks when you can use scaffolding poles
Rampant Rooster – happy to get more shots of them this time
Brixton Tatterjacks – arrived during the stands, a welcome addition

At Sassis and at The Hope at the end of theafternoon there were also dances involving multiple sides. At The Hope, space was limited so the numbers involved were only a few from each side.
