Deep in the dungeon of The Brunswick in Hove, a musical and spoken word event, Tales From the Tavern, took place in early January. Four acts played as dungeon denizens observed.
The stage was guarded by two dark shapes, whose only saving grace was to visually show the names of the acts playing.
Two Goblins took to the stage to open proceedings. Their arcane musical devices created eldritch sounds.
Wounded Healer followed them with dungeon synth emanating from the floor on which they sat.
The ethereal witchy beauty, Ahrtemisia Nathair and her armoured guardian provided folk based Black Metal from harp and keyboards.
Rounding off the evening with the Tales from the Tavern was The Dark Peak. They read dark stories from a grimoire of their own making.
